I Fought For You--Veterans' Day
Did you know that Veteran's Day is celebrated on November 11 because that is when the cease fire went into effect for World War I? Guns stopped as of 11 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month, 1918.
Thank a veteran for the sacrifices made before our time and that continue today.

September 11, 2001 Commemorative Video
This is just over 4 minutes and provides images from before, during and after the 9/11 attacks. The last woman talking at the end is leaving a message for her family. She left this message just before Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania.

It's Time For Some NFL Football!
READ ALL OF THESE DIRECTIONS BEFORE YOU START YOUR WORK. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN CONFUSION AND STRESS. :)
AGENDA
Practice Global Address
HW: Finish NFL worksheet
OBJECTIVE
Practice global address accuracy and formulas
FOCUS
1. Spit. Pick. Sit.
2. Agenda
Today, you will practice your global address (latitude and longitude) skills. Your worksheet lists the 20 opponents for the Kansas City Chiefs. First, READ THE DIRECTIONS ON THE WORKSHEET.
City and state for each team is indicated in the parenthesis (City, STATE) on the worksheet.
NOTE: For #4 on your worksheet, the location for the New York Giants is incorrect. Change it to East Rutherford, NJ. The global address is 40 degrees N 74 degrees W.
NOTE 2: For #7 on your worksheet, the global address for San Diego, CA is 32 degrees N 117 degrees W.
NOTE 3: For #19 on your worksheet, the global address for Seattle, WA is 47 degrees N 122 degrees W.
NOTE 4: The city for #20 Chicago Bears is incorrect. Please change it to Chicago, IL on your worksheet.
On the website, the global address for each location is more detailed than what we use in class. For example, on the website, Kansas City, MO is listed as 39 degrees 06' N 94 degrees 35' W. For your work in class today, please JUST USE THE WHOLE NUMBER DEGREES. Therefore, Kansas City, MO would be 39 degrees N 94 degrees W.
Use the website below to find the global address for each city. Record the latitude ( ___ degrees N or S) and longitude ( ___ degrees E or W) for each city on your worksheet:
